Very interesting analysis. Will YASM ultimately influence the kind of fighter who can hack the media pressure, advantaging more extroverted fighters and disadvantaging others less inclined to play that game? Or will boxing attract fans who love it precisely because it is not MMA, resisting the pressure to change?

I think the evolution of boxing and other sports is inevitable, but I am merely speculating. Boxers have always had tremendously enthusiastic fans, but traditionally the boxers have been remote, waving to crowds, fighting in demonstration matches, not generating their own advertising. The new generation is in touch with followers constantly, constantly promoting. The new boxers have videographers trailing them. The fans are coming to see more than boxing. But you raise a good point; there will be some hold-outs, or at least I hope so!
